Cyndi Almouzni, previously known as Cherie, is a French pop and dance singer who began her career at the age of 14 when she won a local talent show in her hometown of Marseille, making it to the finals in Paris. After being signed to Sony BMG in 1998, she released her debut album 'Cherie' in 2004 which featured lead single 'I'm Ready' which became a hit on the US Billboard Charts, reaching number one on the Dance Club Songs chart. Her song 'Betcha Never' from the same album was used by the Iceberg Lounge singer in the 'Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman' (2003) animated feature film. In 2007, she reappeared under her full name to compete to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest on the BBC talent show Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up, where she finished second to eventual winners Scooch. Almouzni now performs under the moniker of Cindy Alma and continues to have success performing as a dance music artist, notably collaborating with the legendary Armin Van Buuren in 2013 on 'Beautiful Life' and 'Don't Want to Fight Love Away'.
