Chris Holsten

Chris Holsten (born on May 4, 1993 in Lillestrøm, Norway) emerged on the international pop scene in 2014 after lending his uncredited vocals to Broiler’s Billboard-charting EDM hit “Rays of Light”. The singer/songwriter has since gone on to become a platinum-selling artist, marrying R&B-tinged vocals with dance music soundscapes to create breezy, feel-good pop. Following a run of self-released songs in 2015 including his debut single “Layers” and the follow-up “Unproved”, Holsten teamed up with French DJ/producer Arno Cost on “Waiting for You”, released via Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings as part of Volt & State’s ADE 2015 mix album. Racking up millions of streams on the Rat City collaboration “On My Own” the following year, he subsequently inked a deal with Warner Music Norway, with whom he began to release a prolific run of singles. These included “MEXICO”, “I’ll Be Alright” and the Madden-produced hits “Echo” and “All About You”, the latter of which peaked at number 98 in the Norway Top 100. In 2020, Holsten crossed over into reality TV, appearing on the Norwegian music show Hver gang vi møtes and contributing a new song, “Shine”, to the soundtrack for celebrity challenge series Familiens ære. He also released his debut EP, Cold Hearts, and secured his first top ten hit in Norway with the Frida Ånnevik duet “Hvis Verden”, a timely, translated cover of Julia Michaels and JP Saxe’s “If the World Was Ending” repurposed for the coronavirus pandemic.
