Christian Jesús González Nodal (January 11, 1999) is an award-winning singer-songwriter who performs in the Regional Mexican music genre. Born and raised in Caborca, Sonora, he began singing at the age of four and went on to master several instruments on his own. At the age of 16, he relocated to the city of Ensenada, where he continued to attend high school while playing gigs in Mexicali during the weekends. In 2017, the success of the singles “Adiós Amor” and “Probablemente,” a collaboration with Spanish singer David Bisbal, helped turn his studio debut Me Dejé Llevar into a massive blockbuster of an album that soared to the top of Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart and earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Ranchero Album. He followed up in 2019 with the full-length Ahora, which featured guest spots by Juanes, Sebastián Yatra, and Maluma. Preceded by the Number 1 single “Se Me Olvidó,” his third album AYAYAY! hit the shelves in 2020 and obtained gold certification both in Mexico and the United States. Following a legal dispute with former label Fonovisa, Christian Nodal signed with Sony Music in 2021 and released the collaborative album Recordando a una Leyenda with Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho later that year. His second EP, 2022's Forajido, received a Latin Grammy award for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album, earning Christian Nodal his second win in that category. It was followed by 2023's Forajido 2, which was certified Platinum in the United States. Featuring guest appearances by Peso Pluma and Estevie, the extended play PA'L CORA EP. 01 arrived in 2024 and peaked at number 25 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart.
