Chrystal Jade Ruby Opal Orchard, born in Farnworth, Greater Manchester in the late 1980s, grew up inspired by R&B, hip hop, and UK garage. Her teenage years were marked by struggles with depression and becoming a mother. Initially pursuing law at the University of Bolton, she shifted to studying music at Manchester Creative And Media Academy, sparking her passion for music production. In 2017, her debut single "Waves" gained widespread acclaim, including recognition from BBC Radio 1Xtra and Beats 1, earning praise for its bold, humorous lyrics and Northern influences. Later that year, she released "New Shoes" and "2 Real", showcasing her life experiences through her distinctively Northern vocal delivery. Tracks like "Vibe" (2018), featuring rapper Rozwell Fitzroy, further solidified her reputation. Her 2024 single "The Days", part of Unarchived 2015, reached No. 39 on the UK charts, underscoring her evolution into a celebrated voice blending pop, R&B, and donk influences.
