Chuck Ragan

Charles Allan "Chuck" Ragan (born October 30, 1974) is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from the USA. The artist founded the band Hot Water Music in Gainesville, Florida in 1994 together with Chris Wollard, Jason Black and George Rebelo. The group quickly established itself as one of the formative forces in the American punk scene. After the temporary dissolution of Hot Water Music in 2006, Chuck Ragan embarked on a solo career focusing on acoustic folk and Americana music. As a solo artist, Chuck Ragan released several successful albums, including Feast or Famine (2007), Gold Country (2009) and Till Midnight (2014). His music is characterized by a mixture of raw vocals, haunting lyrics and a fusion of folk, punk and traditional American music. in 2008, Chuck Ragan initiated the Revival Tour, a collaborative acoustic concert series that brings together various artists from the punk and folk scene. This tour becomes an important annual event in the alternative music scene. Hot Water Music reformed in 2008 and released the comeback album Exister in 2012. Since then, Chuck Ragan has alternated between his solo career and his work with the band. His solo album The Blueprint Sessions is released in 2023. In November of the same year, he signs a contract with Rise Records. The album Love & Lore follows a year later, reaching number 95 in the German charts. Chuck Ragan is not only known for his music, but also for his commitment to the music scene and his ability to combine different genres. He has established himself as one of the most authentic and respected voices in the punk and folk scene.
