Cindy Bradley

Born on December 11, 1977 in North Tonawanda, New York, Cindy Bradley is a smooth jazz composer, educator, and musician who specializes in both the trumpet and flugelhorn. Influenced by artists such as Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, and Blue Mitchell, her style is rooted in classic jazz although she is often pigeon-holed in the smooth jazz genre. When she was very young, she learned to play piano but switched to trumpet at the age of nine. Gravitating towards traditional jazz, she attended Ithaca College in New York, earning a degree in jazz studies. Additionally, she earned another degree in jazz trumpet performance at the New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2007, she released her debut album, Just a Little Bit, on her own label. For her second album, the Michael Broening-produced Bloom (2009), she signed with Trippin’ N’ Rhythm Records. The critically-acclaimed album was followed two years later by her third album, Unscripted (2011). Her subsequent albums include Bliss (2014), Natural (2017), and The Little Things (2019). Over the course of her career, Bradley has collected honors from the American Smooth Jazz Awards, Smooth Jazz News, the Oasis Contemporary Jazz Awards, and Jazziz Magazine.
