Emma Clara Idun Klingenström (February 21, 1995), or simply Clara Klingeström, is a Swedish singer-songwriter from Visby. Born in a music-loving household, she started singing from a very early age, taking part in her first competition at the age of 9. In 2010, she ended up in the Top 100 in an online contest to participate in the Melodifestivalen 2011 with the song “Mr. Lonely Man.” In the following years, Clara Klingenström won P4 Gotland’s P4 Next contest with the track “It Makes Me Crazy” in 2012 and secured a triumph at Gotland’s Musik Direkt competition in 2015. Her official debut single “Ensam i en stad” arrived in the spring of 2019 and so did the song “Engelbrekts väg.” A year later, she dropped the singles “Sthlm, allt är förlorat,” “ Sommarminnen,” and “Så slut.” With her popularity on the rise, she reached the finals of the Melodifestivalen 2021 with the song “Behöver inte dig idag,” which she wrote with Bobby Ljunggren and David Lindgren Zacharias and was later released a single, reaching Number 31 on the Swedish charts.
