Clinton Kane (November 26, 1999) is an Australian singer-songwriter who rose to international fame as the voice behind Martin Garrix’s hit single “Drown.” Born to a Filipino father and a Norwegian mother, he grew up between Australia and the United Kingdom and taught himself how to play several instruments from a very young age. After going through an existential crisis that led to a panic attack, Clinton Kane channeled his emotions into music, and in 2016, he began posting online videos of himself performing covers by artists like Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, and Khalid. With time, he also began writing his own material, garnering the attention of Columbia Records. Clinton was quickly signed to the label and relocated to Los Angeles to record his debut EP This Is What It Feels Like in 2019. His big breakthrough came a year later when he featured on Martin Garrix’s “Drown.” Following a handful of standalone singles during 2020, Clinton Kane finally entered the charts with the single “Chicken Tendies,” which reached Number 88 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Number 83 on the UK Official Singles Chart. That year, he followed up with the single “I Guess I’m in Love,” reaching Number 22 in the UK.
