Formed in Los Angeles in 2009, the group consists of rapper Daveed Diggs, a multifaceted performer who gained mainstream fame through his role in the Broadway hit Hamilton, alongside producers William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes. The trio's sound is characterized by dark, industrial beats, complex rhythms, and a confrontational approach to both production and lyrical themes. clipping.'s music often explores themes of violence, paranoia, and dystopia, while their unconventional sound combines elements of noise, industrial, and experimental electronic music with the raw energy of hip-hop.
