One of the earliest groups to emerge from the burgeoning reggaeton scene of the late 1990s, Comando Tiburón was formed in Panama City in 1990. Comprised of radio DJs Édgar "DJ Pozo" Flecha, Iván "Phantom" Broce, Rodolfo "Rolo" de León, and Ariel "Magnético" de la Espada, all of whom served as disc jockeys in a radio show titled El Show del Comando Tiburón, the group released its first batch of singles in the mid to late '90s, some of which included "No Voy a Llorar" (1996), "No Podrás Olvidarme" (1997), and "La Gente Quiere Guaro" (1998). In 2004, Comando Tiburón signed a deal with Sony Music Central and released their studio debut Peligro Shark Around Chacarrón, which effortlessly combined different Caribbean genres such as Reggae, Soca, and traditional Panamanian rhythms. Over the next few years, Comando Tiburón collaborated with some of the most popular artists in the Latin urban music scene, including Daddy Yankee ("Impacto"), Eddie Dee ("Falso Llanto"), and Joey Montana ("Mi Ex"), and dropped a second self-titled album in 2008. "Pasado Pisado," a collaborative single featuring Mach & Daddy, appeared in 2011, six years before the group announced its dissolution. They would return in 2019 with the single "Que Se Vaya."
