Born in Helsinki, Finland, eclectic folk-pop singer-songwriter María Concepción Mendívil Feito (March 3, 1981) – a.k.a. Conchita – spent her childhood and pre-teens in France and Germany, before settling down in Spain aged 14. For her first single in 2006, Feito turned in a Spanish cover of "Breaking Free" ("No Dejes de Soñar") from the High School Musical OST, and the following year released her debut album Nada Más, produced by Juan Luís Jiménez. The platinum-selling LP, which made it into the Top 20 in Spain, bore two popular singles; "Tres Segundos", which went to Number 11, and near-chart-topper "Nada Que Perder", which peaked at Number 2. The Top 10 follow-up album 4.000 Palabras came in 2009, containing Number 5 hit single, "Puede Ser", and three more albums followed; Zapatos Nuevos (2012), Esto Era (2014) and Incendios (2016). Feito made her return to music in 2020 with the singles "13 Años" and "Un Camino para Volver".
