Melbourne-based DJ and producer James Contiez a.k.a. Contiez gained global recognition for his 2013 hit single "Trumpsta." Bolstered by an exhilarating drop and flashes of bass-friendly EDM, the bouncy, party-starting electro-house track features vocals from US artist Treyy G and is an example of the so-called Melbourne bounce sound at its biggest and boldest. "Trumpsta" peaked at Number 3 in Sweden and achieved Top 20 status in Denmark, Finland and Norway. A remix EP arrived in 2014, offering "Trumpsta" remixes from Dirty Palm, Djuro and others. After dropping a string of follow-up singles, Contiez edged towards a cosmic psy trance-led aesthetic for his 2017 EP Faded Dimensions, while for 2019 EP Disco Sauce he reverted back to bass-fueled electro-house. In 2020, Contiez teamed up again with Treyy G for EDM-minded banger "Temple," and in 2021 he joined forces with Theis EZ and Gullers for the soulful single "This Is Love."
