Country Joe & the Fish are best known for the song "F.U.C.K.", an anti-Vietnam War anthem they performed at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969. Country band Joe McDonald and Barry "The Fish" Melton also produced five albums, including two beacons of psychedelia, Electric Music for the Mind & Body and I Feel Like I'm Fixing To Die Rag, released in 1967. The band broke up in 1971, but occasionally returned to the public eye.
