Initially setting their sights on the hard dance scene before beginning to specialise in hardstyle around 2007, Norwegian DJ/production tag-team Da Tweekaz have since become one of the niche genre’s most famous exports, making use of euphoric melodies and sparkling synth work. Formed of friends Kenth Kvien and Marcus Nordli, the duo debuted in 2008 via Spider Records with “Angeli Domini”, going on to release a string of singles and EPs with DJ’s United Red Records before signing to hardstyle legend Coone’s label, Dirty Workz, in 2010. Making strides with their debut album, 2012’s Time 2 Shine, they went on to reach #86 on DJ Mag’s coveted Top 100 DJs list the following year, climbing to #66 in the publication’s 2014 list. Amidst a spate of compilations and new releases, they bagged a sought-after headline slot at Belgium’s No Man’s World Festival in 2016. In 2017, the pair launched a new side project, Tweekacore, as an outlet for their happy hardcore releases. Relocating to the genre’s homeland of the Netherlands, they went on to don distinctive LED masks during live shows to create a physical distinction between their two personas. The group have since enlisted in seasoned Essex producer Darren Styles, with whom they founded the happy hardcore label Electric Fox in 2018, for numerous collaborations. Many of their releases via the label have since amassed millions of streams; namely 2018’s “Crash & Burn” and 2019’s “Parallel Universe” and “Shady People”.
