Kosovo-Albanian pop and R&B singer-songwriter Dafina Zeqiri – also known mononymously as Dafina – was born on April 14, 1991 in Varberg, Sweden and began making waves in 2007 following her performance at Albanian festival Polifest. Zeqiri's debut album, Knock Down, arrived in 2008 and she picked up a First Magic award that same year for her song "Bateritë." Her second album, Just Me, landed in 2011 and featured a collaborative track with popular Albanian rapper Getoar Selimi (better known as "Geti"), called "D&G." Zeqiri's official US release came in 2017, "Four Seasons," which was the lead single from her King EP and was accompanied by a video that co-starred French Montana. The EP was created under the guidance of US rap producer Rick Steel, with its second single, "Told Ya," reaching Number 1 in Albania. Zeqiri has since accumulated a trove of singles, including six releases in 2020. Featuring Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter Yll Limani, "Mos Shko" reached Number 4 on the Albanian charts that year.
