Daizystripper is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in Tokyo in March 2007, signed to indie label Beyond-Max. The band was established in March 2007 with five members: Yugiri (formerly of Altema) on vocals, Mayu (formerly of Clavier) on guitar, Nao (formerly of Trick) on guitar, Rei (formerly of Clavier) on bass, and Kazami (formerly of Clavier and former roadie/support member of Lareine) on drums. Performing live at various events in Tokyo, they self-distributed debut single “Dandelion” (2008) as a limited edition and despite pressing only 1000 copies, the single went to number 10 on the Oricon indie charts, propelling the band into the spotlight. Due to popular demand, the single was re-released, and made the steady climb to Number 1. Packaging their second and third singles "Hoshizora to Kimi no Te” and "Juliette no Knife” into a single limited-release album titled Cross (2008), which landed at number 2, the band continued to perform live, releasing “Truth” (2008) shortly after, which returned them to the top spot. Following a successful tour, the band simultaneously unveiled two albums Birth, and Love on August 11, 2010. Continuing to gain momentum, they released "Setsubō no Freesia” in 2011 (used as the ending theme to anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, which went to number 20 on the Oricon singles chart, followed by a string of albums including Bless (2011), Siren (2011), Air (2012), Tragus (2014) and Coupling Collection (2015). After a short hiatus, the group returned several years later with new single “Again” which was certified gold and went to number 23 on the charts, followed by albums Home (2017), Shinsekai (2018), Infinity (2020) and Fujiyama (2022). In July 2023, they released their 31-track collection This is Daizystripper, followed by “殺鬼晴レ” in December that year.
