Daniele Gatti

Successor to Kurt Masur at the helm of the Orchestre National de France since 2008, Italian conductor Daniele Gatti (born in Milan in 1961) has successively led Rome's Accademia Santa Cecilia, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bologna's Teatro Comunale and collaborated with London's Royal Opera House, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, the Bavarian Opera Orchestra and Zurich's Opernhaus. Appreciated by opera lovers for his performances of Verdi'sAida and Don Carlo , Puccini's La Bohême and Parsifal at the Bayreuth Festival (four years running), he has recorded critically acclaimed symphonies by Tchaikovsky(Nos. 4, 5 and 6 "Pathétique") and Mahler. In 2013, he celebrates the centenary of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.
