Names can be deceiving, but Death Angel are not death metal. The Californian band is one of today's flagships of heavy metal with a dose of speed metal. Originally formed in 1982, Death Angel took a ten-year break in 1991. As a result, 1990's stunning Act III was almost never followed up. Fortunately, The Art of Dying (2004), Killing Season (2008), Relentless Retribution in 2010, The Dream Calls For Blood (2013) and The Evil Divide are worthy successors.
