American R&B artist Debelah Morgan was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1973 and like many aspiring R&B performers she began her musical career singing in a gospel choir and went on take a role in education at the age of 15 teaching gospel singing at The University of Arizona. Shortly after signing a record deal with Atlantic Records in 1994, Morgan released her self-titled debut album and experienced modest chart success with the lead single 'Take It Easy'. Her follow-up album 'It's Not Over' had a similar chart performance and it wasn't until her third album 'Dance With Me' that she made a significant breakthrough into the charts when the title single from the album reached number four in the US Dance Charts. In the latter part of her career Morgan returned to her roots recording a series of gospel songs for the album 'Let the Worship in Champions Live 2' which she released in 2010 in collaboration with her local church.
