Not to be confused with their namesake noise rock band, Divorce is a quartet founded in Birmingham in 2021. The band, comprising ex-Megatrain members Tiger Cohen-Towell (vocals, bass) and Felix M-B (vocals, guitar), Adam Peter Smith (guitar) and ex-Do Nothing Kasper Sandstrøm (drums), began rehearsing before releasing their first four singles on the Get Mean EP (2022). At the same time, they build up a repertoire of covers for their first concerts, and are noticed by the BBC when guest Ezra Furman suggests programming the track "Scratch Your Metal" (2023), included on the following EP Heady Metal. The band went on to support The Vaccines, Bombay Bicycle Club and Everything Everything, and returned to the platforms with new tracks in 2024, including "My Room", "All My Freaks" and "Antartica", the first single from the album Drive to Goldenhammer (2025), which reached number 46 in the UK charts on its release.
