DJ Caio Prince

DJ Caio Prince, hailing from Jardim Miriam in the southern outskirts of São Paulo, has always been driven by a deep love for music. Growing up in a neighborhood infused with hip-hop, he found his path in the world of music and culture. His artistic journey began in 2019 when he first encountered a DJ setup, sparking his passion for the craft and leading him to dive into the history of music and the influential role of hip-hop in Brazilian communities. DJ Caio Prince has become a prominent figure in the São Paulo funk scene, known for his unique curation of subgenres like bruxaria, submundo, automotivo, and funk agressivo. He also weaves in elements of R&B, 2000s sounds, national rap, and dancehall, genres that have shaped his musical identity since childhood. In 2023, DJ Caio Prince took his career to new heights with performances at Lollapalooza Brazil, The Lot Radio in the U.S., and France’s Rinse FM. He’s also made his mark in São Paulo’s iconic funk parties, such as Baile da Dz7 and Rua do Meio. Committed to uplifting Black and LGBTQIAP+ communities, DJ Caio Prince uses his platform to break down social barriers and showcase the potential of marginalized voices in mainstream spaces. 2024 saw the release of "Botano (Útero Baixo)," a collaborative track featuring Mc Luanna, Mu540, and DJ Thiago Martins.
