Djany

Jeanne Dumeige, aka Djany, born March 5, 1988 in Paris, is a French-Congolese artist. Introduced to music by her mother, a gospel singer, she took part in a tour with Liz McComb before becoming a backing singer for Yannick Noah, Lara Fabian and Chimène Badi. In 2008, she accompanied Christophe Maé on over a hundred dates. Spotted by Def Jam France, she signed in 2011 and made a name for herself with "Roule avec moi" on Mister You's "Dans Ma Grotte " album. Her first single, "Paroles en l'air" (2012), a duet with Nessbeal, preceded the Avant-Première EP. In 2016, she made a name for herself with the remix of Keblack's "J'ai déconné" and the single "A l'aise". The following year, she unveiled "Ça va bouger". In 2020, she collaborated with Gaz Mawete on "Bima", affirming her Afro-Congolese influences. In 2023, she made a comeback with "Cdqd" and "Lady", confirming her musical evolution.
