Djelimady Tounkara

Djelimady Tounkara is a Malian guitarist from Bamako, and a former member of the legendary Rail Band led by singer Salif Keita. In the 1970s, this group influenced many West African musicians by integrating Latino, Cuban and jazz elements into its compositions. Djelimady Tounkara and his unique guitar phrasing helped build the group's legend.
