D’Masiv is an Indonesian alternative rock five-piece from Jakarta. Formed in 2003, they are considered one of the most popular rock bands in their home country. Composed of vocalist Rian Ekky Pradipta, guitarists Dwiki "Kiki" Aditya Marsall and Nurul Damar Ramadhan, bassist Rayyi Kurniawan Iskandar Dinata, and drummer Wahyu Piadji, the group released their studio debut Menuju Nirwana in 2006 while still calling themselves Massive. They rose to prominence after winning the contest A Mild Live Wanted in 2007, which led to a recording contract with the Indonesian recording company Musica Studios. Perubahan, their first album for the label, saw the light in 2008 and garnered national attention thanks to tracks like “Merindukanmu” and “Cinta Ini Membunuhku.” Over the course of the next few years, D’Masiv earned their rightful place in the pantheon of Indonesian rock with such critically-acclaimed albums such as Perjalanan (2009), Persiapan (2012), Hidup Lebih Indah (2014), and D’MASIV (2016). In 2019, they produced their first charting single with “Lelaki Pantang Menyerah,” which climbed to Number 80 on Billboard Indonesia’s Top 100. The track was also included in their sixth LP, Love, released that same year.
