Jimmy Tamborello aka Dntel is not a one-man band. In addition to his solo work, he collaborates more or less intensively with the bands Figurine, Headset, Strictly Ballroom and The Postal Service. In 1998, Dntel brought together his demos released between 1995 and 1997 on the album Early Works for Me If It Works for You. Life Is Full of Possibilities in 2001 made Dntel a darling of electro critics. 2007's Dumb Luck continues the trend of electro that owes much to a certain Brian Eno and his sense of concision. Early Works for Me If It Works for You II (2009) features previously unreleased material from 1998 to 2003. Dntel's third proper album, Aimlessness, was released in June 2012, in an electro vein still influenced by pop and ambient.
