Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut is an alternative rock duo founded in Turkey in 2014. Comprised of Uğurhan Özay (vocals) and Mürsel Oğulcan Ava (guitar), the duo’s lyrics address controversial and socially conscious issues. They released their home-recorded first album, the predominantly acoustic Polonya’nın Başı Belada, in 2015. Their next album, Dünyanın En İyi Albümü (2017), was inspired by artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and introduced an alternative funk rock element to their sound. Although they had gained a sizable following, it wasn’t until after the release of their 2018 single “Aklim Hep Firarda” – a collaboration with producer Can Ozan – that the mainstream media started to notice them. Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut added several unofficial members for live and studio work including a drummer, backing vocalist, and trumpeter. In 2018, they released their Akustik Takılmacalar EP, which featured guest vocals by Turkish singer Sedef Sebüktekin. Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut’s next album, Karanlık (2019), featured another appearance by Sedef Sebüktekin, who appears on the track “Gitme.” The album was mastered by Vlado Meller, who had performed similar duties on hit albums by Red Hot Chili Peppers. At the Face to Face event – organized by Kocaeli University – Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut was honored with the Alternative Music Group of the Year award. In 2021, they released their fourth full length album, DKTT, and followed it up with the EP DKTT Live Session. Throughout the course of their career, Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut has made several music videos to go along with their singles including “#22” (2016), “Evim” (2017), "Anlamı Yok" (2018), ″#25″ (2020), and "Zor" featuring Dilan Balkay (2021).
