Donato & Estefano

Donato & Estefano were a Latin pop duo formed in the United States in 1991. It consisted of Cuban singer-songwriter Donato Póveda and Colombia native Fabio "Estéfano" Salgado, who had previously contributed songs to Grammy-winning albums by Gloria Estefan and Jon Secada. In 1995, their studio debut Mar Adentro became a huge hit in Latin America thanks to the success of singles like "Sin Tí" and "Estoy Enamorado." Donato & Estefano would go on to record two more albums—Entre la Línea del Bien y la Línea del Mal (1997) and De Hombre a Mujer (1999)—before disbanding in 2001. After the duo's dissolution, Salgado penned chart-topping hits for artists like Chayanne, Paulina Rubio, and Thalia, and released his solo debut Código Personal: A Media Vida in 2005.
