Jang Dong-woo, born on November 22, 1990, in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer. He debuted in 2010 as a member of the South Korean boy group Infinite, which gained widespread acclaim with successful albums such as Over the Top, Season 2, and Top Seed. In September 2012, Dongwoo, along with fellow Infinite member Hoya, formed the sub-unit Infinite H. Their first extended play, Fly High, was released in early 2013, followed by Fly Again in 2015, which climbed to the top of the charts. In 2015, Dongwoo ventured into musical theatre, making his debut in the stage production of In The Heights. In October 2016, he released his first self-produced song, "Embedded in Mind," featuring Yoon So-yoon, for the webtoon Lookism. On March 4, 2019, he launched his first solo EP, Bye, featuring seven tracks, including the title song "News." After completing his mandatory military service on November 15, 2020, Dongwoo signed an exclusive contract with Big Boss Entertainment on October 1, 2021, returning to the stage in the role of Jin-gook in musical Dream High, in 2023, adapted from the television drama of the same name.
