Dreadzone

Dreadzone are a British electronic music group formed in the early 1990s, known for their unique fusion of dub, reggae, rock, and electronic influences. Hailing from London, the band were started by founding members Greg Dread (ex-Big Audio Dynamite) and Leo Williams, Dreadzone emerged from the UK’s underground scene, quickly gaining recognition for their distinctive sound that blends live instrumentation with electronic beats. Their debut album, Earth Angel, released in 1993, showcased their innovative style and set the stage for a series of successful albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Second Light and Dreams of Reason. Dreadzone's music often features socially conscious lyrics, drawing on themes of unity and community. Their energetic shows, often accompanied by engaging visuals, have made them a staple at festivals and events across the UK and beyond. With a career spanning over three decades, Dreadzone continue to evolve, captivating audiences with their eclectic sound and enduring passion for music. They released another album of electrifying punk-dub fare, Nine, in October 2024 via Dubwiser Records.
