Formed in 1999 by guitarist and producer Fredrik Nordström, Swedish power metal band Dream Evil also includes singer Niklas Isfeldt, bassist Peter Stalfors, drummer Snowy Shaw (until 2006) and lead guitarist Gus G, who left the band in 2004. Signed to flagship label Century Media, the band quickly gained international recognition with albums Dragonslayer (2002), Evilized (2003), Book of Heavy Metal (2004) and United (2006), in between tours around the world. With new guitarist Daniel Varghamme on board until 2013, Dream Evil recorded the album In the Night (2010), followed by the aptly named Six in 2017, which saw the return of Markus Fristedt. After touring on both sides of the Atlantic, the Covid-19 pandemic interrupts the recording of the Metal Gods album, which finally sees the light of day in 2024.
