Signed by the Stolen Recordings label for his critically acclaimed debut album Total Strife Forever, released in early 2014, William Doyle is better known by the name East India Youth, which he adopts in reference to a London neighborhood. Born in Bournemouth, southern England, in 1991, this electro-ambient enthusiast got his start in the rock band Doyle & the Fourfathers before launching his personal project with the EP Hostel. Nominated for a Mercury Prize for his debut album (including "Looking for Someone" and "Dripping Down"), East India Youth followed it up with Culture of Volume, released by XL Recordings in April 2015 with the tracks "Turn Away" and "Carousel".
