From "spaghetti house" to the mainstream charts: that's Eiffel 65! In 1999, the Turin-based production company Bliss Corporation (led by producer/manager Massimo Gabutti) motivated three of its DJs - singer Jeffrey Jey, keyboardist Maurizio Lobina and DJ Gabry Ponte - to found Eiffel 65. The group, whose name was randomly generated by a computer, landed a worldwide hit in 1999 with "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" - the song made it to number 1 and stayed in the German charts for 29 weeks - and immediately followed it up with another hit, "Move your Body". The 1999 album Europop made it to No. 4 in the USA, while Contact! (2001) and Eiffel 65 (2003) continued the success before the band shrank to the duo in Bloom 06 for contractual reasons. It was not until 2010 that the band returned as a three-piece under their old name. However, instead of giving fans a long-awaited album, the Eiffel 65 project was postponed indefinitely. in 2016, however, the time had finally come: the band released the singles "Panico" (2016) and "Auto Blu" (2020). The latter is a remake of the hit single "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" - reinterpreted in the version by Italian rapper Shiva. The song revives the old Eiffel 65 hit and reaches number 1 in the Italian charts.
