French-Canadian pop singer Eli Rose had been on the periphery of the vibrant Montreal music scene for ten years until in 2018 she independently released her debut single 'Soleil'. The combination of French lyrics and urban electro-beats played well with Canadian pop audiences and the singer was quickly signed to Universal Music Canada. For her self-titled debut album Rose put together a group of musicians representing the best of Montreal's studio talent including Banx & Ranx, Realmind, Mike Clay and June Nawakii. The ten-track album came out in 2019 and was well received by fans and critics. The lead single 'Origami' features the rapper FouKi and the video which accompanies the single has helped build a fan base for Rose through social media.
