Singer Elsa Lunghini, known as Elsa, was born in Paris on May 20, 1973, and performed the hits "T'en va pas" and "Un roman d'amitié" (with Glenn Medeiros). Daughter of actor Georges Lunghini and niece of actress Marlène Jobert, she made her film debut in 1981 in Claude Miller's Garde à vue, followed by other roles. Chosen to sing "T'en va pas" in Régis Wargnier's film La Femme de ma vie (The Woman of My Life ), in which she also starred, Elsa scored her first hit with the song, which reached No. 1 in the Top 50 in 1986. At the age of thirteen, she followed up this ballad with a debut album in 1988, which reached No. 6 and included other commercial successes such as "Un roman d'amitié", a duet with Glenn Medeiros (also at No. 1), "Jour de neige" (No. 2), "Quelque chose dans mon cœur " (No. 2), "À la même heure dans deux ans" (No. 7) and "Jamais nous" with Laurent Voulzy (No. 10). Between film shoots, the singer returned to the studio with the albums Rien Que pour Ça (1990), ranked No. 3, and Douce Violence (1992), which reached No. 5. Although the singles were less successful, with "Bouscule-moi" reaching No. 14, the public remained loyal, applauding her at the Olympia. Elsa put her career on hold for several years before returning in 1996 with the album Chaque Jour Est Un Long Chemin (No. 28), followed by its English-language version Everyday, the compilation L'Essentiel 1986-1993 (No. 5 in 1997) and concerts in Asia (in Seoul, South Korea) and at the Francofolies de La Rochelle. The year 1997 saw the singer collaborate with Les Enfoirés, before sharing the life of footballer Bixente Lizarazu for seven years. Returning to song in 2004 with the album De Lave et de Sève (No. 25), Elsa teamed up with songwriters such as Benjamin Biolay, Hubert Mounier, Keren Ann and Étienne Daho, and embarked on a tour summarized in her first live collection, Connexion Live (No. 54). In 2008, after repeated appearances at the Enfoirés concerts and with Sol en Si, Elsa Lunghini let her surname appear on her 6th album (n° 25), the majority of songs on which were penned by Emmanuel Da Silva. In addition to a duet with actor Bruno Putzulu in 2010, Elsa Lunghini devotes much of her time to acting, both on stage and on TV, most notably since 2020 in the series Ici tout commence.
