Enchanting – born Channing Nicole Larry on October 9, 1997, in Hanau, Germany – was a Fort Worth, Texas-based rapper who came to prominence in 2022 with the single “Track & Field.” Born to American parents in Germany, she grew up in both Fort Worth, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia before beginning her musical journey by singing in her church choir. Initially working as a nail technician and hair stylist, she began releasing her own hip hop recordings online. Her performance on Boogotti Kasino’s single “Monday” brought her to the attention of rapper Gucci Mane, who signed her to his 1017 Records label. In 2018, she began releasing a series of digital albums including Enchanted (2018), 20 (2018), 21 (2019), Trap & Blues (2020), and Enchanted 2 (2022). Her first official album was 2022’s No Luv, which included the singles “Track & Field” (featuring Kaliii), “Big Chant” (featuring Gucci Mane), “Take it Back,” “Kater to Me,” and more. The following year, she released a deluxe release, Luv Scarred / No Luv, which featured a full album of new material packaged with her No Luv release. In 2023, Enchanting appeared on Raedio’s track “He Can’t Reach,” which also featured Maiya the Don. Enchanting died of from a drug overdose on June 11, 2024, at the age of 26.
