Entoy is a South Korean producer duo from Seoul, consisting of Siyun and tobii, who debuted on December 7, 2020, with their EP Dialogue. Friends for over a decade, they formed entoy after Siyun's military service, inspired by artists like The Chainsmokers and Clean Bandit. The duo's name, “entoy,” short for “Entertaining on the yard,” reflects their philosophy of creating music that blends seamlessly into everyday life. Known for their versatility, they incorporate pop, R&B, and electronica, aiming to expand the perception of Korean music beyond K-pop. Their creative process involves close collaboration, with tobii handling melodies and chords while Siyun crafts drums, basslines, and effects, ensuring polished production. The duo’s debut track, “I’ll Be There,” established their identity, while their recent project, Lost Mood (2024), highlights their commitment to collaborating with lesser-known talents like vocalist suru. Mentored by oze, entoy’s polished sound combines addictive melodies and intricate soundscapes. Describing their music as “everyday,” they aim to create tracks that fit effortlessly into listeners’ routines.
