Twin singer-songwriters Evan and Jaron Lowenstein climbed the charts in the early 2000s thanks to their knack for melodic pop, scoring a hit with the song 'Crazy for This Girl'. The twins were born in 1974 in Tucker, Georgia. They got their start as performers playing folk pop in their local coffee shops. Their 1995 indie album 'Live at KaLo's Coffee House' proved a minor hit, leading to a second indie LP, 'Not from Concentrate' and a performance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. While on tour they grabbed the attention of Jimmy Buffet, picking up a contract with Island Records in the process. Their major label debut was 'We've Never Heard of You, Either' in 1998. It was their self-titled 2000 album, however, that produced their biggest hit in the form of 'Crazy for This Girl', as well as 'From My Head to My Heart' and 'The Distance'. Their joint career effectively ended following 2004's 'Half Dozen' when Evan announced that he would be focusing on family life rather than music, though the pair did reunite to perform 'Crazy for This Girl' on the 'Nashville' TV series in 2013.
