English saxophonist Evan Parker is one of the leading figures of the European jazz avant-garde. A member of the Spontaneous Music Ensemble and then the Music Improvisation Company with Derek Bailey, he played with Tony Oxley and formed the Incus label with him before joining Chris McGregor's Brotherhood of Breath and pursuing a prolific solo career. His extensive discography includes the albums Process and Reality (1991), Obliquities (1995), Bush Fire and Toward the Margins (1997) and Monkey Puzzle (2000). In 2005, his Electro-Acoustic Ensemble released Eleventh Hour, followed by albums for John Zorn's Tzadik label and on his PSI label. The Moment's Energy (ECM) and House Full of Floors (Tzadik) were released in 2009.
