Eyci and Cody

Eyci and Cody is a Chilean reggaeton duo formed in 2008 by brothers Ángel Cortez ("Eyci") and Edgard Cortez ("Cody") from Los Andes, Valparaíso. Initially known as Rsi and Cody, they experimented with various musical styles like pop, ballads, and R&B before fully embracing reggaeton in 2009, when Ángel adopted the name Eyci. Their early singles, "Tu Mejor Amante" and "Pegate," gained traction in Chilean radio and clubs. The duo rose to national fame with their hit "Amémonos a Escondidas," earning the title of Reggaeton Revelation Group of 2009/2010. In 2010, they released "Te Amo con Locura," which became a major success after being featured as the opening theme for the popular Chilean telenovela Aquí Mando Yo. The song reached number 3 in Chile and stayed in the Top 100 for over eighty weeks. Their debut album, Te Amo con Locura, followed in November 2011. The duo continued their success with the 2012 release of singles like "Ay Amor" and "Pa' Conquistarte," leading to their 2013 album Amantes, which featured hits like the title track and "Zumba Tus Caderas." In 2014, they composed and performed the theme song for the Teletón, further solidifying their impact on the Chilean music scene. Even though the duo went on indefinite hiatus in 2017, they returned in 2024 with a remix of their hit single "Amémonos a Escondidas" featuring Bayron Fire. This was followed by other singles such as "No Me Venga a Buscar" and "Vamo a Repetirlo," released later that year.
