Formed in 1998 in Sulphur Springs (Texas), Fair to Midland hold high the banner of metal with folk and progressive overtones. The Carbon Copy Silver Lining, their first self-produced album in 2001, attracted the attention of Serj Tankian of System of a Dawn, who signed Fair to Midland to his label. In 2007, their hard-working Fables from a Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True received rave reviews.
