Ffa Coffi Pawb

Active from 1986 to 1993, the Welsh band Ffa Coffi Pawb marked the debut of Gruff Rhys, who went on to enjoy a flourishing career with Super Furry Animals and then solo. Composed of the aforementioned Rhys (vocals, guitar), Rhodri Puw (guitar), Dewi Emlyn (bass) and Dafydd Ieuan (drums), the band, whose name stands for "Everybody's Coffee Beans", is one of the world's leading bands.Everybody's Coffee Beans" and a more familiar phonetic expression, formed in Bethesda, Wales, in 1986 and produced a debut album released two years later on cassette, Dalec Peilon, on the local Casetiau Huw label and reissued on the Ankst label in 1993 and the Ara Dreg label in 2025. After an album shared with the Crumblowers group in 1988, the Ankst label group produced another cassette entitled Clymhalio (1991). Affiliated with the C86 movement, named after the compilation published by New Musical Express magazine, Ffa Coffi Pawb reached a wider audience when it split up with the album Hei Vidal! (1992), this time available on CD. While Gruff Rhys and Dafydd Ieuan went on to form Super Furry Animals, Rhodri Puw joined the wacky, psychedelic Gorky's Zygotic Mynci led by Euros Child, while Dewi Emlyn became tour manager for both groups. In 2004, the Placid Casual label releases the compilation Am Byth ("Forever").
