fixi, whose real name is François-Xavier Bossard, is a French musician and composer, renowned for his modern and creative mastery of the accordion. His rich and diverse musical career has seen him collaborate with a variety of artists and groups, including Java, where he has explored audacious blends of genres such as hip-hop-musette, reggae, funk, afrobeat, rock and maloya. Classically trained in drums, piano and trombone, Fixi turned professional at the age of 17, marking the start of an eclectic musical career. He has played alongside such renowned artists as Sinclair, Tony Allen, Winston McAnuff, Alexis HK and -M-. His musical versatility and innovative accordion playing have attracted attention in a wide variety of bands. Among the highlights of his discography, the 2013 album A New Day, produced in collaboration with Winston McAnuff, testifies to his talent and ability to explore different sounds. Fixi also lent his creativity to the soundtrack of the film La Fille du Patron in 2016, signing his contribution to the film scene. In 2018, he once again collaborated with Winston McAnuff on the album Big Brothers , demonstrating his constant quest for musical innovation and fusion.
