福禄寿FloruitShow – aka FulushouFloruitShow or FloruitShow- is an electronic classical crossover trio formed in Beijing, China in 2018. The group was founded by triplets vocalist and keyboardist Doudou (Du Bing’er), guitarist and harpist NieNie (Du Xue’er), and synth player and percussionist MiMi (Du Fei-er). While attending the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, the trio formed pop idol band BingXueFei Group and released an EP. The three sisters then decided not to pursue a pop career and devoted their attention to their studies and pursued different musical avenues. After realizing that they were better together, they formed FloruitShow and began writing songs and recording together again. The released the single “What Did I Keep You” in September 2018, which was quickly followed by “Overtake Me,” which was issued three months later. The trio undertook several tours and played at clubs and festivals while also releasing singles such as “Horse,” and “Yuzhen.” FloruitShow came to prominence when they won the DoMeSo Music Competition 2019. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, the girls’ touring plans were scrapped, and they performed shows online and continued to record. In January 2021, NieNie was arrested for drug trafficking, and reluctantly left the group. She was eventually sentenced to a year in prison. The following month, the trio’s debut album, What Did I Keep You? was released.
