FLOW is a Japanese alternative rock band consisting of vocalists Kōshi Asakawa and Keigo Hayashi, guitarist Takeshi Asakawa, drummer Hiroshi Iwasaki, and bassist Yasutarō Gotō. Formed in 1998, they released their debut extended-play Flow #0 in 2001, followed by the EPs Sunshine 60 and Like a Rolling Snow in 2002. After dropping their first studio album Splash!!! in 2003, FLOW signed with Ki/oon Records and released the single “Blaster,” which debuted at Number 6 on the Oricon Singles Chart. Further success came with the albums Game (2004), Golden Coast (2005), Isle (2008), #5 (2009), and Microcosm (2010) as the band landed several tie-ins with popular anime series Naruto, Detective School Q, Samurai Flamenco, and Dragon Ball Z. A special online concert series spanning their entire discography titled Flow Special Online Live Comprehensive Album Series: Flame of 12 Months was unveiled in 2020. Subsequently, their single “Dice” (2021) was used as the opening theme for the rebroadcast version of the anime Code Geass: Lellouch of the Rebellion.
