Fly to the Sky is a South Korean R&B duo consisting of members Brian Joo and Hwanhee (Hwang Yoon-seok), known for their smooth vocals and emotional ballads. Debuting in 1999 under SM Entertainment, the group quickly gained recognition for their soulful sound, a rarity in the K-pop-dominated industry at the time. Their early albums, Day by Day (1999) and The Promise (2001), established their presence in the music scene, with songs that highlighted their harmonious blend of R&B and pop. Their 2002 album, Sea of Love, marked a significant turning point, featuring the hit single "Condition of My Heart", which solidified their reputation as leading R&B artists in Korea. In 2004, their fourth album, Missing You, became a massive success, with the title track becoming one of their signature songs. The album was praised for its mature sound, and its success extended beyond the Korean music charts. Fly to the Sky continued to produce hit albums throughout the 2000s, including Gravity (2004) and Transition (2006), both of which were well-received for their sophisticated production and heartfelt ballads. After a brief hiatus, they returned with Continuum (2014), demonstrating their lasting appeal in the Korean R&B genre.
