Fran C, a pioneering Chilean urban music producer, has been instrumental in shaping the national genre through his innovative beats and global hits. Emerging from Puente Alto’s vibrant cultural scene, he began experimenting with music production in his teens, blending his cumbia roots with urban influences. Fran C co-founded Desafío Music, the collective that nurtured iconic artists like Kevin Martes 13 and Pablo Chill-e, producing classics like “Shishigang” and “Perco con Mari.” Following a period of creative burnout, Fran C returned from Brazil with renewed inspiration, crafting the track “Una Noche en Medellín” for Cris MJ, which became a viral sensation on social media and a global urban anthem. Known for his collaborations with Marcianeke, Polimá, and Pailita, Fran C continued to redefine the producer’s role with his audiovisual project Laboratorio Fran C, where he experiments with cutting-edge technology and artistry. In 2024, he released the full-length HOT, whose lead single "Mi Automóvil" with Jere Klein reached number 19 on the Chilean Billboard chart. The album also featured contributions from Lleflight, Aqua VS, Balbi el Chamako, Lucky Brown, and many more.
