With a string of hits in the Gospel Chart and respectable placings in the Billboard mainstream and R&B Charts, multiple Dove Award Winner and Grammy Award nominee Fred Hammond is a truly successful crossover artist. Combining gospel with R&B has been a successful formula for Hammond - after starting out with gospel group the Winans he played with the band Commissioned performing on ten of the group's twelve album releases. His stature within the gospel genre rose considerably after he formed Radical For Christ, a successful choir with millions of album sales to their credit. His 2004 album Something 'Bout Love, released under his own name, went to number four in the Billboard R&B charts followed by number one placings in the Gospel Chart for Love Unstoppable in 2009, God Love And Romance in 2012 and The United Tenors in 2013. Although a bass player by trade, Hammond is a highly respected arranger, producer and songwriter and as well as his own chart topping releases he has collaborated with artists such the Williams Brothers, Yolanda Adams and Israel & New Breed on numerous successful projects.
