Freddie Gibbs is a rapper from Indiana. In 2004 he started releasing mixtapes of gruff street poetry about his troubled life in the poverty-stricken town Gary. He released the EPs 'Str8 Killa' in 2010 and 'Lord Giveth, Lord Taketh Away' in 2011, followed by 'Baby Face Killa' in 2012. His debut album was 'ESGN' in 2013. The following year he collaborated with Madlib to release the acclaimed album 'Pinata'. He also collaborated with DJ Fresh on 'The Tonite Show' album. Gibbs' next album was 'Shadow of a Doubt' in 2015. The album 'You Only Live 2wice' came out in 2017 featuring the single 'Crushed Glass'. He released the commercial mixtape 'Freddie' in 2018 with the cover an homage to Teddy Pendergrass's album 'Teddy'. In 2019 he again teamed up with producer Madlib to release the album 'Bandana' featuring accompanying single 'Crime Pays'.
