GD X Taeyang, also known as GDYB, is a South Korean duo formed by rappers G-Dragon and Taeyang from the famous group Big Bang. The duo first met as trainees at YG Entertainment, intending to debut as a hip-hop duo but instead eventually becoming part of Big Bang. Their career took a turn in 2014 with the release of the single "Good Boy," which topped Billboard's World Digital Songs chart and sold over 1 million digital units in South Korea. This success was followed by their participation in the Infinite Challenge music festival in 2015, where they collaborated with ZE:A's Hwang Kwanghee on the single "Mapsosa." This track made it to number 2 on the Circle Digital Chart and was one of the best-selling songs of 2015 in South Korea. They also released a DVD titled G-Dragon X Taeyang in Paris 2014. Among their other collaborative works are songs like "I Need a Girl," "Korean Dream," and "Stay with Me," all of which cracked the Top 10 on the local charts. GD X Taeyang has received a lot of recognition, including the Hot Trend Award at the 2015 Melon Music Awards for "Mapsosa" and being honored at the 2015 YouTube Music Awards for "Good Boy."
