General Electrics

A musician with a passion for vintage synthesizers and keyboards of all kinds, Frenchman General Elektriks (aka RV Salters) put his skills to good use in the band Vercoquin and for -M- before moving across the Atlantic to work for Blackalicious and Lyrics Born. He returned with a wealth of ideas, which he poured into two fresh, inventive albums: Cliquety Kliqk (2003) and Good City for Dreamers (2009). In 2001, Parker Street continued in an electro vein tinged with psychedelic touches, while its successor To Be a Stranger, released in 2016, leans towards funk. After emigrating to San Francisco, General Elektriks moved to Berlin.
